Check-in/Check-out
- All guests are required to sign an indemnity form upon arrival.
- Scheduled check-in/transfer from the Welgevonden Game Reserve main gate is at 13:00
- Scheduled check-out/transfer to Welgevonden Game Reserve main gate is at 10:30
Children's Policy
- Children under the age of 12 are not permitted at the Lodge.
- Children aged 12 and older are charged 100% of the adult sharing rate.
- Children under 12 may be permitted only by special request when booking the Lodge for exclusive use.
Wildlife Activity Policy
- Guests of all ages are permitted to join game drives.
- Guests aged 16 years and older are permitted on bush walks outside the Lodge.
- Participation in game drives and nature walks is always at the discretion of the ranger, regardless of age. This is for the safety of all guests and staff.
- Please remember that we are guests in the wildlife’s natural environment, and we ask that all guests show respect and act accordingly.
Payments
- Reservations must be guaranteed within 14 days of booking. If the booking is made within 45 days of arrival, it must be guaranteed within 72 hours.
- To guarantee your reservation a 25% deposit is payable.
- Full payment is required 30 days prior to arrival.
- All major credit cards are accepted.
- For exclusive-use bookings, a 25% non-refundable deposit is payable within 14 days of booking.
Cancellation Policy
- All cancellations must be submitted in writing, stating the reason for cancellation.
- Cancellations made 31–60 days prior to arrival will incur a 25% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made 0–30 days prior to arrival will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
- For exclusive-use bookings, 25% of the total amount is non-refundable.
- For exclusive-use bookings, cancellations made 0–60 days prior to arrival will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
- All no-shows will be charged 100% of the booked value
General Terms
- In the event of an unscheduled extension of a booking due to weather, strikes, or other circumstances beyond our control, any additional costs will be for the guest’s account.
- Guests are responsible for ensuring they have adequate travel and medical insurance to cover all travel-related risks.
- All tours, experiences, and activities are weather permitting. Guest safety is our highest priority.
- Guests are liable for any loss or damage to the Lodge property caused by themselves, their guests, or any person for whom they are responsible.
- The Lodge, its directors, officers, employees, representatives, and agents are not liable for any loss or damage, however arising.
- This agreement is governed by South African law, and the guest agrees to the jurisdiction of South African courts for any disputes arising from this agreement.
